Learn Italian through stories, communication, and culture
This Italian course (A1.2) is the second part of our beginners’ programme. It is designed for learners who have completed A1.1 or already have a basic knowledge of Italian: you can introduce yourself, talk about where you come from, and ask simple questions.
In this course, you will build on that foundation through new stories, dialogues, and interactive activities. You will learn how to order at a café and in a restaurant, talk about your food preferences, describe a home or a hotel, and write a short hotel review. Step by step, you will gain the confidence to handle more everyday situations in Italian. These are practical skills for anyone who wants to travel in Italy, enjoy its food culture, and feel at ease when booking and staying somewhere new.
Why learn Italian through storytelling?
What makes this course different is the combination of a communicative approach and storytelling. Stories are one of the most natural ways to learn a language. They help you remember vocabulary, grammar, and expressions more effectively because new language is presented in context rather than as isolated words or rules.
Through stories, dialogues, and cultural themes, you will improve your listening, speaking, and comprehension skills while enjoying a richer and more engaging learning experience.
How we support you while learning Italian
This course is designed for beginners who want to continue their journey, including international learners and Dutch-speaking participants. It is taught primarily in Italian by Nomad Teacher Giovanna, a qualified native Italian teacher with extensive experience teaching adult learners.
Although Italian is the main language used during the lessons, Giovanna speaks several languages and can provide support and explanations in English, Dutch, or other languages when needed. This allows beginners to feel comfortable while gradually building confidence in using Italian.
From the very beginning, we encourage you to actively use Italian in a supportive and encouraging environment. The goal is not to translate every word, but to help you communicate confidently in Italian and start speaking from day one.
