This B2 Italian course is for intermediate to advanced students who already know their way around the language and want to improve their fluency, expand their vocabulary, and discuss complex topics through conversation, culture, and authentic materials.
Through themes such as travel, technology, science, history, politics, and everyday Italian life, students will build confidence in speaking Italian more naturally and effectively in real-world situations.
If you already speak Italian quite well but still feel slightly terrified by fast conversations, newspaper headlines, or Italians arguing passionately about absolutely everything, this course is for you.
We’ll explore contemporary Italy through stories, discussions, historical events, science, technology, politics, and the wonderfully complicated habits of Italians. Along the way, we’ll talk about past events, future possibilities, healthcare systems, laws, voting rights, and even the strange beauty of Italian bureaucracy.
You will learn how to express opinions, report conversations, make hypotheses, tell stories effectively, and survive advanced Italian grammar without despair.
Expect lively discussions, practical communication, useful vocabulary, and plenty of opportunities to sound more natural, nuanced, and convincingly Italian.
